Abstract

This work aims to discuss the law of war, in order to demonstrate what is meant by war, the result of international conventions, making a rapid exploration of Jus ad Bellum and Jus em Bello. In short, war is an act of human relations that arise in the exercise of politics, and as politics is indispensable to man, it is natural that continued war is a recurrent event. In this sense, and adopting as the target of analysis of international documents that deal with military circumstances, such as the IV Geneva Conventions and its Protocols, the article permeates the notion of the law of war and its limits, since the minimum of all humanity must still be secured even at this juncture. This is justified by the imposition of the preservation of human rights, such as life and dignity, in favor of coexistence remaining from conflicts.
