The Academic Leagues of Medicine are entities made up fundamentally of students, non-profit and focused on the study of subjects, or specific areas of Medicine. Within the extension axis, it is possible to apply, in practice, the knowledge obtained during graduation with the most diverse audiences. In view of this, playful activities stand out, as they have a positive impact in relation to health education, especially with children. Methodology: The study in question is an experience report with a descriptive character, which aims to describe and evaluate an extension activity carried out by the Academic League of Pediatric Urgencies and Emergencies (LAUEP-IESVAP). Experience Report: COPPEXI promoted an action for Children's Day that took place at IESVAP, with children and guardians of the Mãe Rainha community. LAUEP, in partnership with LACITRE, developed in a didactic way the teaching for children how to recognize a choking situation in everyday life and how to perform the Heimlich maneuver. We also closely monitor the development of children in other activities carried out by other leagues and academic centers. Final Considerations: The Happy Child project makes it possible to reflect on the experiences lived and the impacts generated throughout the process. Subsequently, it was possible to observe the importance of integration between the health area and the community, especially in the child context. In addition, the present recreational approach has proven to be an effective tool to promote the integral health of children, going beyond the traditional medical perspective.
