HERRAMIENTAS EDUCATIVAS SOBRE LA INFLUENCIA DE LAS REDES SOCIALES EN LA IMAGEN CORPORAL DE LOS ADOLESCENTES: UNA REVISIÓN INTEGRADORA

Resumen

Objetivo: identificar las herramientas educativas disponibles sobre la influencia de las redes sociales en la imagen corporal de los adolescentes en la literatura. Método: estudio de revisión integradora realizado en PubMed, ScienceDirect, Lilacs y Medline vía BVS, según criterios de guía pico; a través de DECs y MeSH: redes sociales, redes sociales, imagen corporal, adolescentes y educación, en portugués, español e inglés. Los criterios de inclusión fueron: artículos completos disponibles en su totalidad, en las bases de datos seleccionadas, que presentaron adhesión al tema en portugués, español e inglés, publicados entre 2013 y 2022, con el fin de identificar la evidencia del tema en cuestión publicada en los últimos 10 (diez) años. Resultados: la muestra incluyó 19 artículos, 16 internacionales y 3 nacionales con diversos enfoques metodológicos y contextos de investigación. Los datos fueron organizados según las categorías: influencia de las redes sociales en la imagen corporal (15 artículos) e intervenciones educativas sobre este tema (4 artículos). Conclusión: las redes sociales han contribuido al aumento de la presión corporal. Además, la internalización de los medios de comunicación está relacionada con la insatisfacción con la imagen corporal entre las adolescentes. Se concluye que existe una gran demanda de intervenciones sobre la imagen corporal y la influencia de las redes sociales para los adolescentes. En consecuencia, se necesitan acciones educativas que aborden el uso de las redes sociales y las preocupaciones sobre la imagen corporal entre las adolescentes para prevenir y minimizar los posibles daños a la salud.
