Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused profound changes in physical and mental health, particularly impacting children and adolescents with school closures and an increase in obesity and mental health challenges. In this scenario, education has adapted, using technology to face these challenges, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health in the school curriculum. The general objective of this study is to investigate the perceptions and experiences of high school students in relation to educational trends to combat early obesity and promote mental health in times of crisis, with the aim of identifying opportunities for improvement in educational strategies, as well as assess the impact of these trends on the health and well-being of high school students. The methodology included study screening, detailed content analysis and comparison of extracted data. In addition, structured questionnaires were administered to 88 high school students, exploring health risk behaviors and perceptions about the pandemic. Confidentiality was maintained, and aggregated results are intended to inform targeted public health interventions and policies. The results indicate the need for a dynamic and integrated approach, encouraging the active involvement of students in the development of health skills, with training of educators to facilitate this process. In conclusion, this research presents a comprehensive outline that can serve as a launching pad for health-centered educational changes.

Ana Flávia Vilela Aragão

I have a degree in Psychology, with a qualification in Degree and Training in Psychology - Faculty of Philosophy of Recife - FAFIRE (1994). *Latu Sensu Specializations: Clinical Psychology, Hospital Psychology, Psychogerontology, Psychosomatic Psychology, Neuropsychoanalysis, Neuropsychology, Integrated Systemic Constellation, Childhood Psychological Disorders, MBA in People Management, Psychopedagogy. Strictu sensu postgraduate course: PhD student in Psychology - University of Business and Social Sciences, Buenos Aires - CABA and Master's student in Education Sciences - World University Ecumenical. *Professional Life: State Public Servant of Acre (Psychologist) at the Department of Social Assistance and Human Rights - SEASDH, 2008 and at the State Department of Health - SESACRE, working at the Acre Hospital Foundation - FUNDHACRE/HC, 2015. I carry out the activities professionals as a psychologist in multidisciplinary teams in intensive care, obesity, transplants and elderly hospital programs, with outpatient psychological care and, in groups, with patients and family members. I participated in the implementation and coordination of the Human Resources Division at the Acre State Technology Foundation - FUNTAC. I developed projects related to improving the quality of life of employees, coordinating drug addiction programs, integrative and social programs, planning strategic actions in the area and training in leading auditor in ISO 9001:2008 and Occupational Health and Safety. I coordinated the Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program - PIBIC Júnior (CNPq), with high school students in Rio Branco, AC. In academic life at Faculdade da Amazônia Oeste – FAAO in the Implementation and Coordination of Internships and the Community Psychology Service in 2009. At Faculdade Barão de Rio Branco - FAB/UNINORTE (2007 to 2010) I was a specialist teacher in postgraduate courses in subjects in Organizational and Work Psychology. As an undergraduate, I taught psychology in health courses such as psychology, dentistry, physiotherapy and nursing, in the humanities area, in social work. At Fameta (2013) I taught a postgraduate course in Occupational Health and Safety. Extracurricular courses and professional experiences include training in auriculotherapy for healthcare professionals - UFSC (2019), principles of multidisciplinary care in bariatric surgery - Hospital Alemão Osvaldo Cruz - HAOC (2019). In a psychology and neuropsychology office and consultancy in people management and quality programs in private companies.

Ricardo Pereira Veras

Graduated in (Lic.) Geography from the State University of Paraíba (2007), graduated in (Lic.) Physical Education (2022), Graduated in Pedagogy (2023) specialization in Geography and Industry Management (UFCG), Specialist in Inclusive Education , Master's and Doctorate in Natural Resources from the Federal University of Campina Grande. I worked as a Postgraduate professor at Faculdade de Patos in specialization courses, I worked as a Substitute professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in geography and Law courses. Working mainly in the area of Geography, with an emphasis on Human Geography and Physical Geography, working mainly on the following themes: Geomorphology, Water Resources, Natural Resources and society, social development, urban development, family farming, also working in the following areas: Environmental Law, Environmental management, Environmental impacts, Quantification, Pedology, Geology and Education. I worked at the Roraimense College of Higher Education in Administration, Pedagogy, nursing courses in the areas (sociology, philosophy, anthropology, scientific methodology) and postgraduate studies. I worked as a teacher at Complexo, CUCA, Elite mil at high school levels, pre-university courses, public competitions and Digital Platform. Currently a permanent professor of Geography at SEE-Acre.
